The Man Who Stole The Mona Lisa

The Man Who Stole The Mona Lisa - Female Documentary Narrator The Mona Lisa…..one of the most famous works of art in the world… painted by Leonardo da Vinci between 1503 and 1506 . The painting is actually smaller than most people realize…..only 30 inches by 21 inches and painted on a wood poplar panel. The painting has survived for more than 500 years. It was, at some time during its history, removed from its original frame and efforts have been made ever since to help keep the panel from warping. Although the painting has had many different frames in its history, the frame added in 1909 has remained, with support modifications, until this day. The painting has been subjected to several extensive cleanings, re-varnishing’s, and touch-ups. Before its 1962-1963 tour, the painting was assessed, for insurance purposes, as valued at $100 million (about $720 million in today’s dollars) and hangs at The Louvre. The Louvre, located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the 1st arrondissement in P...

What they tell us about designing for X

We're talking about refrigeration, and how the design of a refrigerator affects its energy consumption. Freezers are the perfect place to see this in action, so let's take a look! This is a video about how we design things. It’s a video about priorities, and how we sacrifice things like energy efficiency for the sake of convenience and vice versa, and why we should put meaningful consideration towards those sacrifices we make, and the priorities they enable. As I’m sure you’ve gathered from the title, we’re talking about freezers. Well, actually, refrigeration more broadly. But to make the point I’d like to with this video, we’re gonna talk about one of these little beauties. This is a perfectly ordinary chest freezer. It’s a box with a lid that keeps things very cold. Now, on its surface this isn’t remarkable at all. But, if you know anything about chest freezers, you’ll know that they use an almost comically small amount of energy to do their thing. And the reason that’s poss...

Elon Musk's Time Management Method

Elon Musk's daily schedule is incredibly demanding, but he ensures that everything gets done by scheduling everything in 5-minute time blocks. This technique is called "time boxing", and in today's video I'll show you how to make the most of it. I think what Elon Musk does best is thinking big, and then worrying about the details later. If you have a vision, the details sort themselves out eventually. It is no secret that Elon Musk has an insane work schedule working more than double the hours of the average full-time worker. And you know now I’m kind a in the 80 to 90, which is more manageable but you know that if you divide that by two its only like you know maybe 45 hours per company which is not much if your world has a lot of things going on.  And that time is split between many different projects, most of it goes to his main companies Tesla, and Space X. But he also spends time on things like The Boring Company, and open AI and of course making flamethrowers...

The Best Gaming Laptops of CES 2021 / Computer

CES 2021 is over, but what were the most interesting gaming laptops? Let’s take a look at all the new models announced and see what’s coming out this year. Well, CES 2021 has come to an end,  and now it’s time to take a look at the  best gaming laptops coming out this year. Now this video is all based on information  that was provided to me, as CES was an  all digital event thanks to human malware,  so unlike normal, this means that I haven’t  actually had a chance to test out any of  these laptops in person yet. I will have  heaps more information coming though, so make sure  you’re subscribed for the upcoming full reviews. The biggest news was of  course from Nvidia and AMD. We’re going to have high end gaming laptops  featuring AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series processors   with Nvidia RTX 3000 series graphics. Exactly  what people were asking for most of last year. Both companies are claiming some pretty  good performa...
